Heroes admitted free at Florida Strawberry Festival

It's festival season in Florida and the annual homage to the humble strawberry is the next up.


The Florida Strawberry Festival opens on Thursday, Feb. 27 and runs through Sunday, March 9.


It's Heroes Day at the fair on March 5. All active, reserve, retired military, veterans, law enforcement and first responders are admitted free with valid identification.


Regular gate admission is $10 for adults, and $5 for children ages 6 - 12. Children ages 5 and under are admitted free.
