Tampa's downtown ice rink is back for another season of skating.

Join Mayor Bob Buckhorn at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday (Nov. 21) for the official opening of the rink in Curtis Hixon Park.

The opening festivities will include free skating until 7:30 p.m. and a chance to win a Chick-fil-A prize pack.

Representatives from the Tampa Bay Lightning, including Thunder Bug will be on hand.

The rink will be open daily, except Thanksgiving, until Jan. 5. Skating is $10 for 90 minutes and includes the use of rental skates.

Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park is located at 600 N. Ashley Drive, Tampa.
