Lowe’s home improvement stores offers free “Build and Grow” projects for kids on a regular basis.

Just enter your zip code at http://www.lowesbuildandgrow.com/pages/default.aspx to see if the project is offered at your preferred location and if any spots to participate remain. Pre-registration is required and there are a limited number of spots available.

Currently on the calendar there is a “Spooky Stacker” game project scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 12 starting at 10 a.m. There is no charge to participate and the activity takes about an hour to complete.

Projects are recommended for kids in grades first and up and teach children how to follow instructions and finish a task to completion.
