Join in on a guided hike along a wooded Florida trail on Saturday mornings at Brooker Creek Preserve.
The free hikes take place most Saturdays starting at 10:30 a.m. with participants gathering in the lobby of the preserve’s exhibit hall ten minutes prior to departure.
All ages are welcome, but children under the ages of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and those younger than 6 may find the hike challenging.
Sturdy closed-toe shoes are a must as much of trails are unimproved, uneven and sandy. Water, sunscreen, bug repellant, a snack and a hat are recommended. The slightly less than one mile hikes take about two hours to complete.
Pre-registration is required by 12:00 noon on the Friday before the hike by calling (727) 934-2680.
Brooker Creek Preserve is located at 3940 Keystone Rd., Tarpon Springs.
