Louis C.K., Ansari to headline comedy tour in Tampa

Published:

Louis C.K. and Aziz Ansari are among the acts coming to the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in August for what is being billed as “the world’s biggest comedy tour.”

The Funny Or Die Presents Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival 2014 opens at the Amphitheatre on Aug. 8 at 5 p.m.

Among the other acts: Brent Morin, Chris Hardwick, DJ Trauma, Hannibal Buress, Jeff Ross, K., Marc Maron and Reggie Watts, with a second stage hosted by Brody Stevens and others.

Louis C.K. was nominated for an Emmy award for best actor in a comedy this year for “Louie,” on FX. Ansari also plays Tom Haverford on NBC’s “Parks and Recreation.”

The tour also includes such offbeat acts as the Cut Throat Freak Show, a roaming troupe of misfit performers.

Tickets range from $35 to $99.50 and are available at the Live Nation and Oddball websites.

Last year’s inaugural tour, the largest outdoor comedy festival ever produced by Live Nation, was highlighted by the return of Dave Chappelle to the comedy stage.
