The final two weekends of Busch Gardens’ annual Bands, Brew and BBQ festival will feature concerts by Lifehouse (March 1), ZZ Top (March 2), Daddy Yankee (March 8) and the Steve Miller Band (March 9).
This weekend the concert series features country singer Justin Moore on Saturday, and a solo performance by Poison front man Bret Michaels on Sunday.
The concerts are included with regular admission to the park. More than 100 specialty and craft beers are served at the festival, and local barbecue restaurants offer a selection of food in the Gwazi concert area.
Busch Gardens had been delayed in announcing the full lineup after Pat Banatar, Neil Giraldo and the Beach Boys canceled appearances at Bands, Brew & BBQ in January over criticism of Busch Gardens’ sister-park SeaWorld’s killer whale program.
Nine other acts canceled their appearances at SeaWorld Orlando’s own version of Bands, Brew and BBQ in response to the highly critical documentary “Blackfish,” which focuses on a whale that killed a trainer at SeaWorld Orlando in 2010.
SeaWorld has since replaced the canceled acts with other performers, such as Larry the Cable Guy and Sister Hazel.
