Universal Orlando Resort has announced its final haunted-house for Halloween Horror Nights 23, based on the horror video game series, “Resident Evil.”

Inside the Resident Evil haunted house, visitors will step into the viral catastrophe, Raccoon City, where they will encounter vicious characters from the games such as Lickers, bloodthirsty zombies, packs of Cerberuses and even Nemesis himself.

The house also includes a room where a fight scene appears to be put on pause by a video-gamer.

Universal collaborated with Capcom, creators of the game, which also spawned a series of horror films and comic books.

“We were able to create incredibly elaborate sets that plant you right in the midst of Raccoon City’s apocalyptic nightmare, along with terrifying adversaries that will send them running,” says Michael Aiello, creative director of Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights.

Other Halloween Horror Nights haunted house themes include:

♦ AMC’s “The Walking Dead”

♦ “Evil Dead”

♦ “The Cabin in the Woods”

♦ “An American Werewolf in London”

♦ La Llorona

Halloween Horror Nights begins Sept. 20 at Universal Orlando Resort. Single night tickets are $91.99 and on sale at www.Halloweenhorrornights.com/orlando. Discounted multiple-night tickets also are available.
