The Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel will bring back its popular Symphony in Lights show for a sixth year, starting with a special premiere-night event this weekend.

The show, featuring more than 250,000 lights choreographed to music by Trans-Siberian Orchestra, premieres Saturday at 5 p.m. in the outdoor mall’s center court. After that it will run nightly at 6, 7, 8 and 9 p.m. through Dec. 31.

In addition to the show’s usual 55-foot tree, 10 tons of holiday decorations and 2,000-watt sound system, Saturday’s premiere will also feature carolers, costumed performers, a fireworks display and a visit from Santa Claus.

The mall also announced Tuesday that some of its stores will open on Thanksgiving for holiday shopping. JCPenney, Macy’s, Aeropostale, Buckle, Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, Pac Sun and Victoria’s Secret will open at 8 p.m. Journey’s will open at 10 p.m.

A full list of the mall’s holiday store hours can be viewed at The Shops at Wiregrass website.

During the Symphony in Lights premiere celebration, guests can receive a holiday savings coupon book by making a donation to the Mason Dixon Christmas Wish Fund at the guest services desk.
