The Wheelmobile will be in St. Petersburg for one more day, bringing a chance at TV riches with it.
The bright-yellow RV is part of a traveling, nationwide search for contestants to appear on the long-running game show "Wheel of Fortune," coming to the Mahaffey Theater.
Applications to compete in audition shows will be handed out in the lobby of the theater one hour before each show. Applications were accepted Sunday, and shows today will begin at 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Regardless of arrival time, everyone who attends today's event will be able to submit an application. Participants will be selected for audition shows by random drawing. Those chosen will be interviewed and play a version of the "Wheel of Fortune" Speed Up Round.
A media release on the Mahaffey's website stated that contestants would be evaluated on energy and enthusiasm, as well as "overall performance." The best candidates will be invited back for final auditions sometime in the coming months.
All contestants must be at least 18 years old. On-site parking at the Mahaffey will cost $5.
