Universal Orlando — it's time to prepare for battle.

Transformers: The Ride — 3D, the intergalactic battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons, is coming to the Orlando theme park next summer, officials announced on Thursday.

The ride is described as a mind-blowing, action-packed experience that brings guests face to face with Megatron, has them dodging explosions and attacks by Decepticons and fighting to save mankind alongside Optimus Prime and the Autobots.

"Bringing Transformers: the Ride — 3D to life at Universal Orlando involved a seamless collaboration between the films' award-winning director, Michael Bay, talented animators at Industrial Light and Magic, stars from the original films, and our extraordinary team of ride innovators at Universal," said Mark Woodbury, head of Universal Creative.
