TAMPA — The TECO Line Streetcar will operate on an extended New Year’s Eve schedule from noon Tuesday until 1 a.m. Wednesday.
The streetcar will provide transportation between major downtown and Ybor City New Year’s Eve events, while city parking garages adjacent to Ybor City streetcar stations offer an alternative to parking downtown.
The events include the Outback Bowl New Year’s Eve parade and pep rally with 20 marching bands from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. along Seventh Avenue in Ybor City, and the 12th annual New Year’s Eve Ball Drop and fireworks celebration in Channelside from 7 p.m. until 1 a.m.
Hillsborough Area Regional Transit and Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority buses will operate on regular schedules Tuesday and Sunday schedules on New Year’s Day.
On New Year’s Day, HART will operate four routes serving Raymond James Stadium and the 1 p.m. Outback Bowl between Louisiana State University and the University of Iowa.
* Route 32, between the Mango Wal-Mart and the West Tampa Transfer nearby the stadium.
* Route 36, between Carrollwood, the stadium and MacDill Air Force Base.
* Route 41, between the netp@rk Transfer Center and the stadium via Sligh Avenue.
* Route 45, between the University Area Transit Center, the stadium and the WestShore Plaza Transfer Center.
