Viewers will learn tonight if a dance troupe from Tampa will advance to the next phase of "America's Got Talent."
Tellavision, a group of 18 performers who practice at a studio in Ybor City, will appear on an episode airing tonight at 9 on NBC. The judges will decide if the group moves on to the final rounds of competition, set to air live from Radio City Music Hall in New York.
Tellavision, a play on "tell a vision" according to the group's Facebook page, incorporates TV monitors into their dance routine. Those monitors flash timed images, adding an element of animation to the group's physical movements.
The concept was developed by technical director AJ LeBlanc and creative director Dorene Collier for the Tampa-based Event Show Productions, but had never been performed before "America's Got Talent."
