The nearly two-week-old king chick weighs 30 ounces and is being raised by its parents with check-ups from SeaWorld staff.
The chick will grow to be more than 24 pounds and more than 2 1/2 feet tall. This baby is one of two king chicks that have hatched within the last two weeks with more are expected soon.
The mother and father care for the chick full time, according to SeaWorld. The care starts before birth because both king penguin parents share incubation responsibilities placing the egg on their feet.
The attraction is home to more than 250 penguins of four species: king, Adelie, gentoo and rockhopper.
