Bad boys beware, the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is starring in the upcoming 26th season of “Cops.”
A crew from the long-running reality series rode with Sarasota deputies in May and June to shoot segments that will air throughout the season, beginning with Saturday's 8 p.m. premiere on SpikeTV.
“It was an honor to have an American documentary television series of this caliber ask to follow our deputies throughout Sarasota County,” Sarasota Sheriff Tom Knight said in a news release. “I'm also glad that our citizens will get to see some of what deputies have to deal with on a daily basis in a format that is true, unscripted reality television.”
“Cops,” which premiered on FOX in 1989, is one of the longest-running shows on television.
