Tampa Bay Rays fans will be stepping back into the 1970s this summer when KC and the Sunshine Band plays at Tropicana Field as part of the Rays Summer Concert Series.
The iconic disco-era band, best known for such hits as "Shake Your Booty," "Get Down Tonight" and "That's the Way (I Like it)," will appear at the conclusion of the Rays' 4:10 p.m. game against the Houston Astros on Sat., July 13.
All postgame concerts are free with the purchase of that date's game ticket. Fans also can purchase a wristband that allows field access.
Single-game tickets are available at all Ticketmaster outlets, the Rays Tampa Store (400 N. Tampa St.), the Gate 1 Tropicana Field Box Office, over the phone at (888) FAN-RAYS and 1-(800)-745-3000, and online at raysbaseball.com.
Other acts scheduled to perform this summer: the Felice Brothers (June 29, Tigers), Carly Rae Jepsen (July 14, Astros), OneRepublic (Aug. 17, Blue Jays) and Victoria Justice (Aug. 18, Blue Jays). Previously, Kenny Loggins, Martina McBride and the Imagination Movers performed this season.
