Do you have a larger-than-life personality? Not afraid to speak your mind? If you’re at least 21 years of age and want to share your life with, well, everyone, MTV’s “The Real World” wants you.

MTV will be holding auditions for a new season of the pioneering series 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Hooters of Channelside, 615 Channelside Drive, in Tampa.

Applicants are asked to bring a photo ID and a picture of themselves (that casting directors will keep). Producers are looking for individuals between the ages of 20 to 24, but to participate you must age 21 by June 2014.

According to an MTV press release, “ ‘The Real World’ welcomes anyone with a great personality and a willingness to share their life with the world. Most of all, we are looking for surprising and unusual life stories that have yet to be told on television.”

First broadcast in 1992, “Real World” is credited with launching today’s reality show television genre. The show focuses on the lives of a group of strangers living together in a house, as cameras record their every move.

For those who can’t make it to Saturday’s open call, applications will accepted via email. Visit www.bunim-murray.com/rwcasting for details on how you can apply.
