Florida Craftsmen fest draws nation’s finest to St. Pete

More than 100 of the nation’s best established and emerging artists will show and sell their works at Florida Craftsmen’s annual CraftArt Festival this weekend.

The fine art includes works in clay, fiber, glass, metal, mixed media, wood and jewelry. The fest includes demonstrations by tapestry weavers, a raffle on select works donated by artists and an opportunity to etch a glass plate with artist Duncan McClellan’s DMG School Project (11 a.m. to 1 p.m, Saturday, 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday); 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, free admission; at crossroads in front of Florida Craftsmen Gallery, 501 Central Ave., St. Petersburg; (727) 821-7391 and www.floridacraftsmen.net.
