If you were bummed when Paramore missed their performance at Jingle Ball in December, rejoice. The band is teaming up with another one of the world’s biggest pop-punk acts, Fall Out Boy, for a U.S. tour coming to Tampa this summer.
The 30-city “Monumentour” tour will stop July 26 at the MidFlorida Amphitheatre. Alternative rock band New Politics will be the opener for all the dates on the tour.
Tickets, priced at $33 and $80.40, will go on sale to the general public at Jan. 17 at 10 a.m. through livenation.com. Fans can visit http://bit.ly/FOBParamoreRSVP to RSVP for early access to presale tickets that will be available at Jan. 15 at 10 a.m.
Fall Out Boy last played Tampa in September when the band visited the USF Sun Dome. Paramore was on the bill with Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke for the star-filled 93.3 FLZ Jingle Ball at the Forum last month, but skipped the show to perform on the finale of NBC’s “The Voice.”
Fall Out Boy and Paramore are coming off a big 2013 that saw both bands reunite to release successful comeback albums in April. Fall Out Boy ended a five-year hiatus with the release of “Save Rock & Roll,” while Paramore released its first album in four years, the self-titled “Paramore.”
