Brides can once again - maybe for the last time ever - score deep, deep discounts on their wedding gown.

Goodwill Industries invites brides-to-be to their annual Wedding Gala on Friday (May 17) and Saturday (May 18).

This year’s sale will feature more than 200 new wedding gowns donated from local boutiques. Prices begin at $50 for gowns, some of which originally retailed at more than $3,500.

Doors open at 6 a.m. on May 17 at the Oldsmar location, 3929 Tampa Road, and again on May 18 at 6 a.m. at the Wesley Chapel store, S.R. 56 east of I-75.

Because this is likely to be the last Goodwill-Suncoast wedding gala, so gowns will be even more deeply discounted than usual.

Shoppers usually arrive very early to get a place in line and numbers will be distributed as they arrive. Brides are admitted to the dressing area in that order.

Many of the gowns are from labels such as Casablanca, Dere Kiang and Private Collection. Gowns were donated by local stores: CC’s Boutique, Athena’s Bridal Boutique, Diana’s Bridal and Olga’s Bridal & Boutique.

Shoppers can also find new bridesmaid dresses, new bridal shoes and wedding accessories.
