TAMPA — There's a sudden flurry of hometown activity from the Tampa Bay area's pop star brothers on the comeback trail.

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino announced today that singer, rapper and “Dancing With the Stars” alum Aaron Carter will perform at the casino's Hard Rock Cafe on Aug. 23—the same night his Backstreet Boy brother Nick Carter performs across the street at the MidFlorida Amphitheatre.

Don't worry though, Aaron Carter's After Party Tour doesn't kick off until midnight, so superfans should have no problem making it across Interstate 4 to get a second dose of the Ruskin-raised Carters' blond hair and turn-of-the-millenium pop tunes after the Backstreet Boys show ends.

Aaron Carter will sing and DJ the 21-and-up party until 3 a.m. Admission to the Hard Rock Cafe will be $5 for women and $15 for men.

Tickets for the Backstreet Boys concert, which also features Jesse McCartney and DJ Pauly D, are on sale through livenation.com for $35 to $115.

Aaron and Nick Carter both grew up in Ruskin. Aaron reached superstar status at just 13, when his album “Aaron's Party (Come Get it)” went platinum behind the hit “I Want Candy.”

Nick is a founding member of the Backstreet Boys, who along band-mates A.J. McLean, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough and Kevin Richardson, are credited with selling more than 100 million albums worldwide.
