Keep your cool at annual Cool Art Show in St. Pete

Published:

With daily temperatures exceeding 90 degrees and breezes few and far between, we’ve hit the time of year when air conditioning is on the checklist that helps determine our weekend activities.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Professional Association of Visual Artists will present the 26th Cool Art Show, which is blatant in touting its cool artworks in a cool historic building with a thermostat set blissfully somewhere around 70 degrees.

The historic St. Pete Coliseum ballroom will be home to more than 80 local and Florida artists selling ceramics, jewelry, photography, paintings, sculpture and multimedia works.

Admission and parking are free, and vendors will sell food and beverages, including beer and wine.

The Cool Art Show, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; free; The Coliseum, 535 Fourth Ave. N, St. Petersburg; pava-artists.org
