Weird Al Yankovic is making this a very good week

Weird Al Yankovic is blowing up the internet this week like a big, wacky atom bomb filled with frizzy hair and scraps of Hawaiian shirts.

The song-parody master (and really, his only competition these days is Cookie Monster) has returned after a three-year hiatus, and he’s releasing a new music video every. single. day. this. week.

Yes. Rejoice.

We’re already on day three, and so far we’re he’s been perfect. Monday brought us “Tacky,” a parody of Pharrell’s “Happy” that is filled with celebrity cameos from Jack Black, Kristen Schaal, Eric Stonestreet, Margaret Cho, and Aisha Tyler.

Tuesday brought us “Word Crimes,” which rang especially true for the word nerds here in the Tribune newsroom. If you’ve ever been annoyed by bad grammar on the internet WATCH IT NOW.

But today’s video is the best yet. “Foil,” a send up of Lorde’s “Royals,” starts off as a tribute to leftovers, but takes a left turn at the 1:30 mark that may be the greatest musical descent into madness ever. We can’t wait to see what the rest of this week is going to hold.

Al’s 14th album, “Mandatory Fun,” was released Tuesday.
