Slash playing private show in Tampa; composes track for Halloween Horror Nights

Published:

In case you’re wondering what guitar god/top hat fashion icon Slash is up to these days, here are a couple things.

First, the former Guns N’ Roses guitarist will be playing an invitation-only acoustic show at the Hard Rock Tampa casino on Aug. 27 with Alter Bridge singer Myles Kennedy. You can’t buy a ticket, but you can win one from local radio station 98 Rock starting Monday, the casino says.

Second, and this one is the much weirder/awesomer bit of news, Slash has composed the first original score for a haunted house at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights. The bummer is that song will be featured in a maze inside the “Sweet Licks Frozen Clown Pops Family Amusement Center,” which is only at Universal Studios in Hollywood, Calif., not its sister park in Orlando.

You can listen to the track above.
