‘Breaking Bad’ stars reunite for ‘Barely Legal Pawn’

Depending on who you ask, “Breaking Bad” stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul have either taken a step up or a step down from their meth manufacturing characters to become slimy pawnbrokers in a new Emmy promo titled “Barely Legal Pawn.”

A year after the series finale of “Breaking Bad,” the duo is back together as “Buzz” and “Randy Jackson” to spoof a certain genre of cable reality series with some help from Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Louis-Dreyfus pops in to their pawn shop to try to unload her “Seinfeld” Emmy to buy an island (something to do with Celine Dion and too much rose wine), and the payoff at the end even finds a way to work in Jesse Pinkman’s one-word catchphrase in a most unexpected way.

Cranston is nominated for Best Actor and Paul is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for the final season of “Breaking Bad,” while Louis-Dreyfus is nominated for her role in HBO’s “Veep.”
