Clearwater restaurant introduces menu for dogs

Published:

A Clearwater restaurant is introducing a special menu with dishes made especially for dogs.

Diners at Besa Grill who want to bring their pooches along to dinner can now order their dogs items such as "bowser beer," "chicken mutt-loaf" and "K-9 meatballs."

"As a pet owner myself, I understand that when people go out to lunch or dinner, they often want to take their dogs along. They are considered members of the family," Adriana Pappas, owner of the Latin-fusion restaurant, said in a news release. "With the pup menu, our goal is to make our patio not simply pet-friendly, but a place where people can enjoy dining al fresco while giving a really special treat to their pets."

The list of doggie entrees includes dishes made with chicken, vegetables and even filet mignon. For pets with room for dessert, the restaurant will serve cupcakes made by nearby dog bakery Woofgang Bakery.

A daily "Yappy Hour" from 3 to 6 p.m. will offer $1 off all doggie entrees.

Besa Grill is located at 2542 N McMullen Booth Road.
