Community theater players nominated for regional honors

PLANT CITY Plant City Entertainment's cast, crew members and productions have been nominated for a number of regional awards.

The MONTI Awards are presented each year for the top community theater work in Plant City, Brandon, Tampa and Riverview. Plant City Entertainment and its players were nominated in nearly 20 categories, from best actress in a musical to best stage management.

The 8th annual awards ceremony will take place Aug. 23 at Brandon's Center Place Civic & Fine Art Theater.

Plant City Entertainment's nominees in the various categories include:
