Cold front increasing rain chances Saturday

A cold front moving into northern Florida tonight may trigger a few showers along the Nature Coast during the overnight hours. It will be mostly cloudy overnight and a bit muggy with temps staying in the low 70s, forecasters say.

“The cold front will pass through the Tampa Bay area during the day on Saturday and exit south of Sarasota by the afternoon hours,” said WFLA-TV meteorologist Julie Phillips.

Along the front there is a 70 percent chance of showers and storms. Temps will try to make it to 80 degrees Saturday before the front passes, but temps will likely be in the 70s for most of Saturday afternoon.
