A celebrity chef and a television werewolf will be making stops at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa over the next month.
Joe Manganiello, who plays werewolf Alcide Herveaux on the HBO series “True Blood,” will be appearing at the casino’s Monsters Ball Halloween party Oct. 26. Chef Donatella Arpaia, a longtime judge on “Iron Chef America,” will prepare and host a dinner at the casino’s Council Oak Steaks & Seafood restaurant Nov. 14.
The Monsters Ball, hosted by 93.3 FLZ personality Brian Fink, will include a costume contest with a $1,000 prize, dance performances, a laser light show and music mash-ups by DJ Barry Carew and DJ Santana, from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. in the casino’s Hard Rock Cafe.
In addition to playing the perpetually shirtless werewolf on “True Blood,” special guest Manganiello danced as a male stripper alongside Channing Tatum in “Magic Mike,” played Flash Thompson in “Spider Man” and held recurring roles on “ER” and “How I Met Your Mother.”
Tickets to the 21-and-up party are on sale through the Monsters Ball website for $20.
Tickets for Spend an Evening with Celebrity Chef Donatella Arpaia are $150 per person by calling (813) 627-7628.
Arpaia, a former corporate attorney turned chef and restaurateur, is a regular on the “Today” show and was once named one of “The Most Powerful Women in Manhattan” by the New York Post.
She will prepare a three-course dinner with sommelier hand-selected wine pairings. Seating is at 7:30 p.m.
