The northeast corner of Dale Mabry Highway and Busch Boulevard will never be the same.
"This is will be a beautiful addition to the fabric of Tampa Bay," said John Saldana, principal of Rojo Architecture, when describing the estate being built by the Patel family on White Trout Lake in Old Carrollwood.
The family of Dr. Kiran Patel commissioned Rojo Architecture and contractor Onicx to build seven homes for Kiran Patel, his three sons and their families. None of the homes will be sold to the public. The compound will be a luxury community, gated for privacy, with a common pool. The homes will be built in a traditional Indian architectural style and average 8,500 square feet under each roof.
The property was originally planned for 12 homes but was reduced due to concerns about density by surrounding residents. Saldana and his team have worked for two years on the planning and design of this project. Now the backhoes and bulldozers are moving dirt and installing utilities as the project progresses.
The project is scheduled for completion in about two years.
