Christie mystery brought to stage
Carrollwood Players present Agatha Christie's detective mystery, "And Then There Were None," Friday through Sept. 30 at Carrollwood Players Theatre, 4333 Gunn Highway.
Ten people, who previously have been complicit in the deaths of others but have escaped punishment, are tricked into coming onto an island. Although the guests are the only people on the island, each succumbs to a diabolical avenger.

Motorcycle procession to Veterans Park
The fifth annual Remembrance Ride and Patriot Day Observance motorcycle caravan rolls to Veterans Park, 3602 U.S. 301 N., starting from five locations. Hosted by AMVETS Post 44, admission includes a barbecue dinner, live music, vendors, a bike show, auction, 50/50 and raffles.
Registration is at 10 a.m. with kick-stands up at 11:30 a.m. Departure from the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, 1300 Bruce B. Myriads of gesneriads at Botanical Gardens
The Tampa Bay Gesneriad Society invites you to a display and sale of exotic plants at A Gesneriad Celebration, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the USF Botanical Gardens, 12210 USF Pine Drive. Plants will be for sale and members will be on hand to answer questions. Bring your plants if you want to learn how to repot.

Remember heroes at field day event
Come out to the MLK Fields to show your support for the troops and their families in recognition of 9/11. Events include a foam party, mechanical bull, bungee trampoline and celebrity concerts. All proceeds go to the nonprofit Soldier's Angels. Field day events start at 4 p.m., and concerts by Jared Ashley and Logan Mize kick off at 6 p.m.
The USF Martin Luther King Jr. Field is at 4202 E. Fowler Ave. General admission is $15 or $10 for students/military, and tickets are available online at rememberourheroes.eventbrite.com. A meet-and-greet at the Dallas Bull nightclub follows the concerts.

Play weekend is special zoo perk
Fisher-Price Play Weekend returns to Lowry Park Zoo, 1101 W. Sligh Ave., from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a super-sized play area filled with the newest toys from Fisher-Price. Kids can take a turn around the track on Power Wheels vehicles and enjoy special character appearances. Play activities and costumed character meetings are included with regular zoo admission.

Pianist Turke plays at UU Dome
Faye Turke of Lutz will be featured in concert at 3 p.m. Sunday in the UU Dome at Unitarian Universalist Church of Tampa, 11400 Morris Bridge Road. A professional singer and pianist, Turke will present an afternoon of jazz with accompaniment by Ron Delp.
