Public library services in Ruskin date back to 1916, when collections were found in various homes throughout the community. Library materials were subsequently moved to the chamber of commerce and the Ruskin Woman's Club in 1929 and 1940, respectively, before settling into a permanent home in 1966. That was the year the Ruskin Branch Library was dedicated. Today, the library is open Monday through Saturday and offers a variety of programs and classes for children and adults.
