BRANDON — The General Federation of Women’s Clubs’ Brandon Service League presents its 21st annual Holiday Home Tour, featuring three delightfully decorated homes, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.

Each house will offer either complimentary refreshments, a sale of home-baked goods or a Ghosts of Christmases Past pre-owned holiday items boutique.

Three families — the Hoffmans in Riverhills, Hetheringtons in Copper Canyon and Talbotts off Durant Road — will open their homes to the public to help the league raise money for charitable organizations.

“All monies from the home tour stay in the Brandon area,” said Judy Darsey, past president of the Brandon Service League, grateful for the generosity of the homeowners. Without them, “We wouldn’t be able to support the community the way we do.”

Among the recipients are A Kid’s Place, Brandon Outreach Clinic, LifeCare of Brandon, Emergency Care Help Organization, Brandon area high school art departments, New Horizons Group Home, Women’s Resource Center of Tampa Bay and the I Am HOPE Café. Funds also will go to the league’s new scholarships for graduating seniors and for women who need training to join or re-enter the workforce.

The GFWC Brandon Service League received the Community Roundtable’s 2013 Non-Profit of the Year award. Current members range in age from about 30 to 80. The league welcomes new members interested in doing volunteer work for the community, at whatever level of involvement they can give. Visit gfwcbrandonserviceleague.org for membership information.

Holiday Home Tour tickets are $20 and may be bought from any Brandon Service League member and from Diane Burnett, second vice president and 2013 Holiday Home Tour chairwoman, at dburnett4 @tampabay.rr.com. They are sold in Brandon at The LOFT Hair and Nail Lounge, 709 W. Lumsden Road; the law firm of B. Lee Elam, 101 E. Lumsden Road; and in Valrico at the Green Boutique, 1032 E. Bloomingdale Ave.; and Greg’s Hallmark, 863 E. Bloomingdale Ave.
