TAMPA -

The Salon at Remington College, 6302 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., is offering free back-to-school haircuts for children.

The Cuts for Kids event continues through Aug. 20.

Parents may bring in children 17 and younger for a haircut provided by instructors and students in the Remington College-Tampa Campus cosmetology school.

"Back-to-school expenses can really add up," said Rosalie Lampone, Remington College-Tampa Campus president. "Cuts for Kids is a way for us to help parents save some money and help kids look and feel their best when they go back to school."

Parents can make appointments by calling The Salon at Remington at (813) 316-4470 or walk in during salon hours:9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Adults who bring a child in for Cuts for Kids will get 50 percent off select services for themselves.
