BRANDON – Everest University-Brandon recently wrapped up its “Get UR Cans to School” food drive by raising more than 600 cans of nonperishable food items to benefit local agencies Cynthia Pinckney Ministries and ECHO – Emergency Care Help Organization.

“Our campus Igniter Ambassadors organized this project to help area agencies that are feeding a great number of people everyday. Some donations, all of which were made by our students and employees, will be used to restock our campus food pantry. We make sure that students and their families needing extra help while they are in school have food on the table,” said Everest University-Brandon campus President Todd Pearson.

The cans of food will be stacked in a display at the Student Appreciation Carnival on Wednesday, July 30, at the Everest campus, 3924 Coconut Palm Drive, before they are distributed.
