Durant High School will present the Broadway classic “Guys and Dolls” Feb. 13-15.
Featuring classic characters such as Nathan Detroit and Sky Masterson, performances will be at the Durant High School Auditorium, 4748 Cougar Path. Curtain is at 7 p.m., and admission is $8 for all ages. For more information about tickets and group rates email firstname.lastname@example.org.
“Guys and Dolls,” a Tony Award-winning musical that premiered on Broadway in the 1950s, brings late 1930s New York hustle to life, complete with floating crap games, sucker bets and high rollers. It is oft considered one of the best musical comedies ever written.
The part of Nathan Detroit will be played by Trenton Davidson; Alex Sykes portrays Sky Masterson; Gloria Kelly will be Miss Adelaide; and Gabi Alfonso is Sarah Brown. These girls will perform on Thursday and Saturday. The parts of Adelaide and Brown will be performed by Becca Sebastian and Abby Moore respectively on Friday evening.
