Celebrate Parents' Day in South Florida

Published:   |   Updated: July 14, 2014 at 11:15 AM

Did you know that July 27 is Parents’ Day?

The Congressional resolution states that the day is to "recognize, uplift and support the role of parents in the rearing of children" Sounds like a good reason for a kid-free getaway to me.

Here’s a look at a few of the Parents’ Day specials in South Florida:

Soak up the sun in Miami at the Marriott Stanton South Beach with their Life’s a Beach package and you’ll have a relaxing weekend right on the sand. The package includes two drinks on the beach, two beach chairs and an umbrella rental. And if you want to check in with the kids while you’re gone, the package also includes complimentary wi-fi.

You get pampered at the spa while the kids play in the resort’s children’s club. it sounds like a dream, but it’s possible at the Ft. Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa.

With the resort’s ‘Pamper and Play’ package, parents and kids can all have fun this summer. One child per package receives a three-hour session at the Surf Club while adults can relax and unwind at The Spa at Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa.

The Marco Island Marriott Resort, Golf Club, & Spa has the right prescription for a relaxing parent’s getaway. Refresh with the Paradise RX Package – cocktails, oxygen facials and fantastic views of the Gulf of Mexico from your own balcony. Sounds like a great way to celebrate parenthood and take some time for yourself.

However you choose to spend your day, be sure and reward yourself at being a great parent.
