Sea Life Learning Stations at Loews Don Cesar Hotel

Published:

I love incorporating learning into family vacations. Whether its hands-on activities, visiting museums or exploring nature – learning alongside my children is important to me. And I recently discovered a fantastic way to learn about the habitats around us.

The Loews Don CeSar Hotel in St. Pete Beach recently partnered with Tampa Bay Watch, the Pinellas Education Foundation, and students from neighboring schools to create a series of permanent education stations and a magnificent sea life mural to inform visitors about the area’s habitats.

Through these new stations, guests at the resort can learn first-hand about the area’s natural environment, sea life and about the flora and fauna found throughout the St. Pete area.

The eight self-guided stations, located throughout the resort allow guests to learn about the environment and the local St. Pete Beach wildlife too.

The Sea Life "Education Stations" include eight stops around the hotels pools, gardens and beachfront. Areas of focus include beach birds, oyster domes, stingrays, sea turtles, beach plants and more.

Check out this great time lapse video of artist Damir Tabakovic creating a custom wall mural to accompany the resort’s new Sea Life Educational Program -
