Learn and Explore at Miami's Frost Museum of Science

Published:

Looking for a fun night out for the family? The Frost Museum of Science in Miami is the place to go on the first Friday of each month for their Fabulous First Friday event.

Families can experience a free planetarium star show and then make their way to the museum’s rooftop observatory to view the stars.

In the Space Gallery, kids can experience hands-on activities and demonstrations from the staff. It’s a fun way for families to learn and enjoy a night out together.

Later in the evening, the museum’s laser shows are always a crowd pleaser, featuring a show set to music.

And, on the first Sunday of each month, take part in the fun with Scientist Sundays. Kids can meet local scientists to learn about marine biology, software engineering, the weather and even primatology. Participation in these activities is included with museum admission.

This October, don’t miss the return of the Amazon Voyage exhibit featuring stories and artifacts from the most biologically diverse river in the world.

Insider Tip: Keep an eye on the museum’s special events calendar for an updated listing of the Friday night laser show schedule and to see a list of featured scientists for Scientist Sundays.
