The Goo Goo Dolls are hitting the road with Chris Daughtry for a summer tour that on June 20 will stop at the MidFlorida Amphitheatre in Tampa.

The alt-rockers of different eras, but similar sounds will be joined by the Plain White T’s on the 37-date co-headlining tour.

Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through livenation.com as well as all Ticketmaster outlets and the Amphitheatre box office.

Ticket prices range from $19 to $69.

“We are excited to finally be teaming up with Daughtry,” Goo Goo Dolls vocalist-guitarist John Rzeznik said in a news release. “Not only are we big fans of Chris, but we think this is going to be a huge party for the fans of both our bands. The combination of the two will make for an awesome summer night of great American rock music.”

The Goo Goo Dolls have made several appearances in the Tampa area recently. They played a co-headlining concert with Matchbox Twenty at the MidFlorida Amphitheatre in August, then headlined the Acoustic Christmas show at The Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg in December.

Daughtry last played the Tampa Bay area when it performed at Ruth Eckerd Hall in April 2013.
