Published:

Synth-pop duo Erasure (Vince Clarke and Andy Bell) will bring their world tour to the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg.

The concert will be Sept. 14, just prior to the release of their new album “The Violet Flame” on Sept. 23. Tickets go on sale at noon June 6.

Tickets are $29, $39, $49, $59 and can be purchased online at TheMahaffey.com, charged by phone at 727-893-7832 or in person at The Mahaffey Theater Box Office. The Mahaffey box office is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday or at least 90 minutes prior to any ticketed event. There are no added charges on tickets purchased directly from the theater.

“The Violet Flame” follows their critically-acclaimed 2013 album “Snow Globe.” It is the band’s sixteenth studio album release. The first single from the album will be released in mid-July.

Formed nearly 30 years ago, the award-winning songwriting duo had numerous chart-topping pop anthems of the ‘80s, ‘90s, including “A Little Respect,” “Victim Of Love,” “Blue Savannah,” “Star,” “Chains Of Love,” “Who Needs Love (Like That),” “Love To Hate You” and “Breathe.”
