Dwight Yoakam to play Jannus Live in St. Petersburg

Alt-country star Dwight Yoakam is bringing his honky-tonk tunes to Jannus Live on June 11, the St. Petersburg venue announced.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday through Ticketmaster outlets, daddykooltickets.com and in person at Daddy Kool Records, 666 Central Ave. in St. Petersburg.

Tickets are $45 for general admission or $60 for the balcony.

Yoakam will play the St. Pete show just a few days before taking the stage as one of only a handful of country acts in the lineup at Bonnaroo, the giant, four-day music festival in Manchester, Tenn.

In September, Yoakam released the critically acclaimed “3 Pears,” his first new studio album in seven years.
