Counting Crows, Toad the Wet Sprocket coming to Straz

Alt rockers Counting Crows and Toad the Wet Sprocket are coming to bring a double blast of 1990s music to the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts on June 11.

Counting Crows, led by singer Adam Duritz, amassed a string of hits ranging from “Mr. Jones,” “A Long December” and “Accidentally in Love.” The band is working on its first album of original material in seven years, due out this fall.

Toad the Wet Sprocket, named from a gag in a Monty Python skit, have been releasing music for 25 years. Their latest album is “New Constellation.” Their biggest hit was “All I Want.”

Tickets range from $49.50 to $89.50., and a VIP ticket package is available for $264.50. Tickets may be purchased by calling (813) 229-STAR (7827) or (800) 955-1045, in person at the Straz Center Ticket Office or online at www.strazcenter.org.
