Adventure Awaits at LEGOLAND Florida

Published:

Last week, we had the opportunity to visit LEGOLAND Florida in Winter Haven to film an upcoming video blog. (I’ll share it soon!) It was an adventurous day, filled with roller coasters, LEGO boating school, rides and we even built our own LEGO cars to race against each other.

At the Racer’s Build & Test, you can build your own LEGO race car and then test it against others to see how it holds up. We had a lot of fun ‘perfecting’ our cars for racing.

For the thrill-seekers, check out the Coastersaurus -- a traditional, wooden roller coaster. I rode The Dragon roller coaster -- perfect for younger kids. Just be sure to check height restricitions.

My little ones really loved the LEGO boating school, driving along the waterways of the ride -- the boats aren’t on track so pay attention while you are steering.  Another fun ride for younger kids is the Safari Trek -- you’ll see giraffes, monkeys, elephants and more… all built of LEGOs.

Make plenty of time to explore MiniLand U.S.A where you’ll find iconic locations throughout the country in LEGO form. A few of my Florida favorites were the Daytona International Speedway, South Beach in Miami and even the Florida state capitol in Tallahassee.

Here are a few tips for planning your own visit to LEGOLAND Florida:

Plan ahead and purchase your tickets online – you can save up to $15 per ticket and discounted parking.

LEGOLAND Florida partners with local accommodations to offer money-saving vacation packages

If you’re in Orlando, plan ahead and take advantage of the daily shuttle service leaving from the Orlando Premium Outlets at Vineland Avenue. The roundtrip price is only $5 per person.

And if you decide to visit when the weather is warm, buy a two-park pass and visit the water park, too! I’m already looking forward to our next visit so we can check out the wave pool and the ‘Build A Raft River’.

Be sure to check out the VISIT FLORIDA Family Insider Facebook photo album filled with more pictures from our day at LEGOLAND Florida.
