The mother who died in a rollover crash on Adamo Drive on Monday morning was identified by authorities as Olga Noemi Valentin, 27, of Mulberry.

Valentin, of 406 N.E. First Ave., was killed after she was ejected from her Chevrolet Monte Carlo, troopers said.

Her 6-month-old daughter, Nevaeh Pierce, was secured in a child safety seat and survived the crash.

Valentin was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said.

The Florida Highway Patrol waited to release the mother's name until family members could be notified. The child was placed in the custody of the Department of Children & Families while troopers searched “an extended period” for local relatives, the patrol said.

Valentin's mother was located overnight after a region-wide search, the patrol said.

Valentin's 2003 red Monte Carlo was heading east on Adamo (State Road 60) in Brandon, east of Ware Boulevard, about 6:30 a.m. Monday.

For unknown reasons, the car went into the center median, Valentin overcorrected back onto the road and the car began to rotate, troopers said.

The car continued across the eastbound lanes of State Road 60 and began to roll over several times on the south shoulder, troopers said. Valentin was ejected from the vehicle, which came to rest on top of her on the road's shoulder. She died at the scene.

The girl was properly secured in a child seat in the center back seat, troopers said. She was taken to Tampa General Hospital with minor injuries.
