CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — The West Virginia Office of Technology is sponsoring a free information security conference.
The conference will be held Oct. 2 at the Charleston Civic Center.
The conference coincides with the tenth anniversary of the National Cyber Security Awareness Month. The month is sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security.
Speakers at the conference will include an FBI special agent.
The conference will be webcast live, but those who want to view it still must register online just like those who plan to attend in person. State officials say space at the Charleston Civic Center is limited.
