RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — The Richmond Flying Squirrels says Minor League Baseball has approved three local investment groups as minority owners of the team.
The Squirrels said Monday in a news release that the groups are comprised of eight Richmond businessmen. They include Sam Kornblau, Barry Kornblau, Bryan Kornblau, David Boardman, Ted Hanson, William T. Hupp, Robey W. Estes Jr. and John J. Marshall.
The Squirrels also said Brian Callaghan has increased his investment in the franchise.
The Squirrels are a Class AA affiliate of the San Francisco Giants.
