HOUSTON (AP) Brad Davis scored a penalty in the 82nd minute in his first match back from the World Cup to give the Houston Dynamo a 2-2 draw with the New York Red Bulls in Major League Soccer on Friday.

Houston ended a club-record five-match losing streak.

Davis, who played on the United States World Cup squad, earned the penalty after New York's Chris Duvall was whistled for a handball.

Houston's Giles Barnes opened the scoring in the first minute, heading home Kofi Sarkodie's cross to end the Dynamo's goal drought at 479 minutes.

New York equalized in the 13th minute when Bradley Wright-Phillips ran down a long ball from Eric Alexander and put home a one-touch effort.

Wright-Phillips made it 2-1 in the 72nd with his MLS-leading 14th goal of the season, redirecting a cross from Ambroise Oyongo Bitolo.

REAL SALT LAKE 2, REVOLUTION 1

SANDY, Utah (AP) Joao Plata scored a late penalty as Real Salt Lake beat New England to end a five-match winless streak.

Plata blasted a shot to the upper left corner in the 65th minute for his club-leading seventh goal of the season after Chris Tierney fouled John Stertzer in the penalty area.

Javier Morales converted a penalty in the 35th minute to put Real Salt Lake up 1-0. The Revolution equalized two minutes later on Darrius Barnes' header.

New England has lost four straight.

FC DALLAS 2, UNION 1

FRISCO, Texas (AP) Tesho Akindele had an early goal and FC Dallas got the go-ahead score on Philadelphia's own goal.

FC Dallas took the lead in the 49th minute when Philadelphia bungled a clearance inside the box. Fabinho deflected the ball off a helpless Sheanon Williams.

Akindele redirected a chip from Blas Perez to put Dallas up 1-0 in the 26th minute.

The Union leveled the score just before halftime when Amobi Okugo punched in a low finish off Cristian Maidana's cross.

CREW 1, RAPIDS 1

COMMERCE CITY, Colorado (AP) Columbus' Ethan Finlay took advantage of a defensive mistake to salvage a draw with Colorado.

In the 76th minute, Colorado midfielder Dillon Powers attempted a cross-field back pass to his defense, but Jairo Arrieta intercepted it and fed the trailing Finlay for a shot that rolled into the far corner.

Columbus scored an own goal in the 59th minute when Marvell Wynne curled in a cross to Vicente Sanchez that went in off Columbus defender Eric Gehrig.

GALAXY 2, TIMBERS 2

CARSON, California (AP) Los Angeles equalized on an own goal by Portland in the 86th minute.

The Galaxy's Marcelo Sarvas sent a ball into the box that was deflected into the net by Portland's Rauwshan McKenzie.

Sarvas scored in the 65th minute on a feed from Landon Donovan, his team-record 92nd assist for the Galaxy.

For the 13th time this year, Portland gave up the opening goal the most in Major League Soccer.

The Timbers scored twice in a three-minute span getting goals from Diego Valeri and Jorge Villafana to take the lead.
