HOUSTON (AP) Brad Davis scored a penalty in the 82nd minute in his first match back from the World Cup to give the Houston Dynamo a 2-2 draw with the New York Red Bulls in Major League Soccer on Friday.

Houston ended a club-record five-match losing streak.

Davis, who played on the United States World Cup squad that lost to Belgium in the quarterfinals, earned the penalty after New York's Chris Duvall was called for a handball.

In other games, Real Salt Lake topped the New England Revolution 2-1, FC Dallas defeated the Philadelphia Union 2-1, the Columbus Crew drew 1-1 with the Colorado Rapids and the Los Angeles Galaxy drew 2-2 with the Portland Timbers.

Joao Plata scored a late penalty as Real Salt Lake ended a five-match winless streak.

Plata blasted a shot to the upper left corner in the 65th minute for his club-leading seventh goal of the season after Chris Tierney fouled John Stertzer in the penalty area.

New England has lost four straight.

Dallas got a goal from Tesho Akindele in the 26th minute, then benefited from a Philadelphia own goal in the 49th.

Columbus' Jairo Arrieta intercepted a pass in the 76th minute and fed Ethan Finlay for the equalizer in the draw against Colorado.

Los Angeles also got a late equalizer on a Portland own goal when Marcelo Sarvas sent a ball into the box that was deflected into the net by Rauwshan McKenzie in the 86th.
