LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — The Nebraska Farm Bureau's political action committee has endorsed Republican Doug Peterson for attorney general.
The group announced its support for Peterson on Thursday. Peterson, a Lincoln attorney and former assistant attorney general, is running against Democrat Janet Stewart, a Fremont attorney.
The candidates are vying to replace Republican Attorney General Jon Bruning, who is leaving office after mounting an unsuccessful bid for governor.
The Nebraska Farm Bureau says more than 56,000 families across the state are Farm Bureau members.
