GAINESVILLE – The prosecution has rested in the murder trial of a man accused of killing a University of Florida student.
A judge presiding over the Pedro Bravo murder trial told jurors to plan for deliberations to begin sometime Thursday.
Bravo is charged with the murder of University of Florida student Christian Aguilar in September 2012.
Prosecutors have painted a picture of Bravo as a jealous ex-boyfriend who followed his ex to Gainesville to win her back, only to find she was dating Aguilar.
Jurors have listened to a week and a half of testimony.
Bravo has pleaded not guilty to seven charges, saying he and Aguilar fought before the UF student stormed out of his car.
Aguilar’s remains were discovered weeks later in a wooded area.
